BRITAIN'S MOST EXPENSIVE FLAT GOES ON SALE FOR £175M

The most expensive flat in Britain, which was once home to pop princess Kylie Minogue, has gone on sale for an eye-watering £175m.

The five bedroom luxury apartment is situated in Knightsbridge and boasts Hollywood action man Tom Cruise as a neighbour. 

For £175m the lucky buyer will live in a home in the swanky One Hyde Park apartment complex - which is within walking distance of Harrods and Buckingham Palace

The swanky pad features sweeping views of Hyde Park from the living room and five bedrooms and an equal amount of bathrooms. 

The 18,000 sq ft apartment also has a wine cellar and a Japanese-inspired kitchen with black forest granite worktops. As well as a private spa and home cinema. 

Residents also mingle with the rich and famous as fellow residents include Kylie, who lived in the flat, and Ukraine's wealthiest man Rinat Akhmetov.

If the home sells for the asking rice, it will surpass the last most expensive sale in the UK of a penthouse at the same address which sold for £160m in 2018.

The estate agent's listing describes the home as being in 'one of the most exclusive developments in the world.'

They added: 'The penthouse is one of the finest residential real estate assets in London, offering unparalleled lateral living space, in a super prime location.'

According to the Daily Mirror, rich potential buyers are quietly viewing the property, but the new owner may never be revealed as many purchase through offshore companies to remain anonymous. 

One Hyde Park was developed by billionaire property tycoon brothers Nick and Christian Candy in 2010. The 86 apartments have boasted a high price tags ever since the first apartment sold for a whopping £140 million the same year.

Residents can also enjoy access to a 21-metre swimming pool, a golf simulator and valet service and room service via a tunnel from the five-star Mandarin Oriental hotel conveniently situated just next door.
